WELCOME TO TRIPLE CREEK DAIRY
We began our dairy goat journey in 1976 because of a contrary Guernsey cow that my father gave us so that we could enjoy the fresh milk I had grown up with.  One day my husband came home with an article in Organic Gardening and Farming about dairy goats and we decided that's what we needed.  So off to find some dairy goats and of course we received all the wonderful advice about how we really didn't want one of those "dirty smelly goats, they eat anything & they will be on your car the first chance they'll get".  Well after much searching we found our first 2 goats. A bred Nubian cross doe named Susie and a little Toggenburg buck named Elmo. Looking back now I would say that Elmo was really an Alpine & not a Togg. Susie blessed us with two little buck kids & lots of sweet fresh milk. In 1977 we bought our first Purebred Nubian a little brown doe from Ohio that we hauled home in the front seat of my father's 66 Ford Fairlane. Everyone at the rest stops wanted to know what breed of dog she was.  In 1980 we added the LaManchas or I should say I did. The converstion went something like this...  My husband's comment was " what is that "thing" doing in my barn?"
What are you talking about?
You know what I'm talking about.
Oh you mean the LaMancha.
 Yeah that "thing".
In 1982 I had my son and when I went to stop breast feeding him, we discovered he had an adverse reaction to cow's milk & every type of formula we tried. He was able to drink and thrive on the goat milk.
Over the years we have shown our goats, we used to start on Memorial Day weekend and end Labor Day weekend. Now we hit maybe 1 or 2 shows a year. We have also participated in DHIR and the Linear Appraisal programs & hopefully we will be able to do that again soon.
After many years of planning, dreaming and being told NO on operating a dairy, in 2009 he finally said yes...well actually what he said is: " If you are going to do it, now or never", that's the same as yes isn't it?. So on May 1, 2010 we became a licensed dairy. So we are onto our next great goat adventure making and selling Chevre' and Feta goat milk cheeses made here at our dairy.
